Knights of Cademus – New Artwork

We are now at the halfway point in the with the Knights of Cademus one shot and hopefully the rest of the comic will be finished in November. So I thought this was a good moment to give you a reminder of just who the Knights of Cademus are with some new full colour panels from James Evans.

Those with any kind of military training who join the Book of Cademus usually find themselves singled out to be trained as Knights of Cademus. Descended from Sir Oliver’s Cademus’ personal army this is the strong-arm of the cult and their most dangerous weapon. Kidnapping, torture and murder are all in a day’s work for a Knight of Cademus.

Their blind loyalty and faith to the Cabal is only matched by their ruthlessness towards those who would oppose the will of the Cabal. Death holds know fear for a Knight of Cademus, who will willingly sacrifice themselves if the mission calls for it.

The Knights of Cademus by Virgil Yendell, James Evans and Paul Mclaren will be released digitally in the new year and will be one of the stories in the third Unseen Shadows anthology…more details of which coming soon.

First Colour Page Revealed for ‘Knights of Cademus’

Hey all, it’s been a few months since we had an update as I have been busy working on Forgotten Warriors but with nine chapters standing before me and finishing the 3rd draft I thought I could start doing some updates.

So to start with here’s a look at the first colour  page of ‘Knights of Cademus’ by Virgil Yendell and James Evans. Don’t let this first page fool you though as the story will take place over two timelines, one of which will be firmly set in the modern day. I’ve been enjoying working on the guys with this and trying to flesh out some of the mystery behind Oliver Cademus’ secret army.

The comic has all been sketched out and James is, as you can see from this page, gearing up to put some flesh on his pencils so watch this space for more news!

The Knights of Cademus are Coming

So over the past years the comics that have been released have been focusing on the heroes and heroines of the Unseen Shadows Universe, it’s time for that to change.

The next story from the pen of Virgil Yendell will be focusing on the Knights of Cademus who are the strong-arm of the Book of Cademus and their most dangerous weapon. Kidnapping, torture and murder are all in a day’s work for a Knight of Cademus. Their blind loyalty and faith to the Cabal is only matched by their ruthlessness towards those who would oppose the will of the Cabal.

Virgil’s story ‘The Knights of Cademus’ will focus on two young men in two different time periods and their journey towards becoming members of the order. On art and lettering duties is James Evans.

Here’s an early look at some of the character sketches for the story.

Bob Kelsey Investigates: ‘Neck on the Line’ Set to Celebrate Free Comic Book Day

So as tomorrow is Free Comic Day (waits for cheers and applause to die down) and it’s a great day for us comic folk and now finally we here at Unseen Shadows thought we would throw our hat into the ring. To coincide with Free Comics Day we will be releasing the first ‘Bob Kelsey Investigates’ story ‘Neck on the Line‘. The story is written by Virgil Yendell with art by James Evans.

For those of you who don’t know Bob Kelsey is a reporter on the run from a centuries old cult he made the mistake of falling foul of. Unable to keep his reporter’s nose for a story out of other people’s business he now runs an underground blog investigating the weird, the strange and the downright surreal. If you remember the old show ‘Kolchak: Night Stalker‘ starring Darren McGavin, which was a heavy influence on the creation for the X-files TV show, then lets just say Kelsey and Kolchak would get along just fine. In this first adventure we see Bob relaxing after his latest case and relating his tale to anyone who will listen. The story is only two pages long and you don’t need to have read the Fallen Heroes novel or any of the spin off material to enjoy this fun short story.

We are currently already working on two more Bob Kelsey Investigates tales so watch this space for more news and look out for the comic tomorrow. In the meantime here’s panel to give you a taste of what to expect.
