Unseen Shadows: Tales of the Fallen – Character Posters by Steve Penfold

Check out these awesome poster images of the stars of the spin off comics which will form the Tales of the Fallen anthology. The posters were drawn by Steve Penfold, the artist on Fallen Heroes comic adaptation and The Reverend:Wrath of God spin off comic.

I had no idea Steve had done these images and I’ve only just seen them and I’m still trying to put into words what seeing these and all the other pieces of art that  is starting to come through means to me. I’m excited, scared,inspired and most of the time just plain humbled by the wealth of talent working on these projects. I am a very lucky writer.

Stunned just stunned.

First Look at Band of Butchers

So another happy day for me as I get to show off another little piece of tasty art from one of the upcoming spin off comics. In this case an early character sketch from artist Rob Carey, who is working on the spin off ‘Band of Butchers’ centered on mercenary Clancy Wallencheck.

The fact Rob knocked this fantastic sketch up in this lunch break should give you some idea of the standard of art you can expect from this project.

First Look at Operation Solomon Cover!

So with work underway on all four of the spin off comics I reckon this will be the first of many updates. So please feast your eye on the cover for the Steph Connisbee spin off  ‘Operation Solomon’  as drawn and coloured by Conor Boyle.

On a Tour of Duty in the Persian Gulf, Lieutenant Steph Connisbee is signed on as the pilot on a top secret mission- Operation: Solomon. During this assignment she will uncover secrets and danger and step into the world of Unseen Shadows before she even knows it…

First Look at Steph Connisbee: Operation Solomon

Here’s an early taster of what you can expect from Steph Connisbee: Operation Solomon the spin off comic starring Steph Connisbee, best friend and associate of master criminal Ben ‘The Hand’ Ashodi. These two penciled pages are from artist Conor Boyle.

The story of the comic, written by Richmond Clements will revolve around Steph’s early life in the Navy before she joined forces with Ben.

I think you’ll agree this early pages a pretty stunning!

Full Colour Teaser Poster for Napoleon Stone and the Fragments of Fate

With the work on the script for Napoleon Stone and the Fragments of Fate now underway by Pete Rogers we figured  it was time to reveal the full colour teaser poster as created by Roy Huteson Stewart. I’m sure you will agree that it’s a lovely piece of art.

The comic will be released digitally later in the year and will be collected in the Tales of the Fallen anthology, along with several other comics featuring characters from the Unseen Shadows universe.
