Keep Calm and Talk to the Hand

With all the titles for the second anthology well under way I should be able to keep bringing you some sneak peeks of the art as we move closer and closer to the November launch. So without further ado here’s a look at Ben Ashodi aka ‘The Hand’ in ‘Stolen’ as drawn by Cormac Hughes. As you can see he’s taking a leaf out of Batman’s book and surveying his city from on high. In the case of ‘The Hand’ it’s London rather than Gotham where he hangs his mask.

I’ll drop an all new inked page from Stolen on you later in the week.

First look at Historia Page 2 Art and a Brief Synopsis

I thought it would be a nice way to start the week with a look at one of Alex Moore’s full colour pages of the Kathryn Monroe tale Historia.

The comic, written by Richmond Clements  will be one of the stories in the second Unseen Shadows anthology Tales of the Forgotten out this November.

A teacher at an exclusive school for the children of United Nations delegates is found brutally tortured and murdered. The Tactical, Operational Response and Control Headquarters (TORCH) sends in one their best agents, Kathryn Monroe,  to investigate.

Kathryn must use all her skills as an investigator as she puts herself in the firing line to uncover the murderer… and their dark secret.

Don’t worry there aren’t any spoliers in the art.

Fight or Flight: Spin off Comic from ‘Empire of Blood’ Audio Drama Announced

Anyone who has listened to the first two episodes of audio drama Empire of Blood will already be aware of the feisty Icarus Foundation investigator Victoria Sullivan. In Empire of Blood Victoria teams up with her fellow investigator Vincent Marconi to solve five horrific murders.

Originally Victoria was only supposed to be in the audio drama but I loved  the character so much and Fiona Paul’s brilliant performance as Victoria that I  began to think of more ways to use the character. The result of this was a conversation with writer Corey Brotherson, who is currently working on the Unseen Shadows one shot comic Stolen. Together we came up with an idea of doing a six page comic ,starring Victoria, which would be an origin story.

The story is called Fight or Flight and the hope is that the comic will be ready to launch alongside the final episode of Empire of Blood, when we will make the whole story available on a CD as well as here on the website. A synopsis is coming soon but to get you going here’s a sketch of a young and adult Victoria by the Artist on the project Jorge Oliveira.

More info soon!
