The Chimera Factor: The first act is all inked

Page 33 is a great point to have an update on The Chimera Factor. This stunning page (which is pretty epic) from Plwoods signifies the end of the first act of this story.

What better way to end a first act than with a potential fight about to kick off between our two Heroines.

Looks like Steph and Victoria are having a little disagreement

The creative team are working flat out to get this ready for launch at this year’s Thought Bubble so please keep your fingers and toes crossed!

Inks on Eye of Stone Complete

Over the last few weeks we saw the completion of all the inks on ‘Eye of Stone’  written by Cy Dethan, with art by Heather Sheppard and letters by Nic Wilkinson.

It’s been a long road getting here but the person who bought us across the inking finish line is Wendy Muldon, a fantastic inker and project life saver. We here at Unseen Shadows welcome Wendy to the team and hope this won’t be her last adventure with us.

At the moment the creative team and myself are deciding whether we need colours on the art or to release in black and white. The main thing is this latest Napoleon Stone outing is nearing completion.

Really excited to share this one with the Unseen Shadows fans as Cy has written a cracking script and Heather’s visuals are more than up to the task of bringing the script to life.

In many ways this is a Napoleon Stone origin story as told through the eyes of his enemies.

Here’s a look at page 6 (inked by Wendy) and as you can see Napoleon, as per usual, is not exactly having the time of his life.

Free Digital Copies of Operation Solomon and Historia to Celebrate International Women’s Day

Seeing as today is International Women’s Day I thought I would celebrate that fact by giving away the  two stories which feature the first two ladies of Unseen Shadows,  Stephanie Connisbee and ex navy pilot and Kathryn Monroe, a special investigator for the United Nations.

So for one day only I have dropped the price to a big fat zero for the digital comics Operation Solomon which stars Steph and Historia which stars Kathryn. You can pick up these for free from the the links below.

I’m also dedicating this post to my mum Icilda Nugent who was the greatest woman I ever knew and whose strength, courage and compassion can be seenin both Steph and Kathryn. It was mum who pushed me to write my first stories and taught me to never stop dreaming, never stop reaching for what I wanted. I think wherever she is now she would have liked Steph and Kathryn…hmm maybe not Steph I think she swears a little too much for mum!

Anyway Happy International Women’s Day and I hope you enjoy the stories!

On a Tour of Duty in the Persian Gulf, Lieutenant Steph Connisbee is signed on as the pilot on a top secret mission- Operation: Solomon. During this assignment she will uncover secrets and danger and step into the world of Unseen Shadows before she even knows it…

A teacher at an exclusive school for the children of United Nations delegates is found brutally tortured and murdered. The Tactical, Operational Response and Control Headquarters (TORCH) sends in one of their best agents, Kathryn Monroe, to investigate.

Kathryn must use all her skills as an investigator as she puts herself in the firing line to uncover the murderer… and their dark secret.

The Chimera Factor: Meet the T.O.R.C.H Team Sketches

Work on The Chimera Factor graphic novel continues a pace. Here’s some character sketches of Steph and her team from artist Pete Woods.  This is quite exciting for me as this story is set in between the Fallen Heroes and Forgotten Warriors novel (yes I am still writing the second novel) so several of the character will be popping up in Forgotten Warriors.

More updates soon but for now enjoy the images.
