Free Digital Copies of Operation Solomon and Historia to Celebrate International Women’s Day

Seeing as today is International Women’s Day I thought I would celebrate that fact by giving away the  two stories which feature the first two ladies of Unseen Shadows,  Stephanie Connisbee and ex navy pilot and Kathryn Monroe, a special investigator for the United Nations.

So for one day only I have dropped the price to a big fat zero for the digital comics Operation Solomon which stars Steph and Historia which stars Kathryn. You can pick up these for free from the the links below.

I’m also dedicating this post to my mum Icilda Nugent who was the greatest woman I ever knew and whose strength, courage and compassion can be seenin both Steph and Kathryn. It was mum who pushed me to write my first stories and taught me to never stop dreaming, never stop reaching for what I wanted. I think wherever she is now she would have liked Steph and Kathryn…hmm maybe not Steph I think she swears a little too much for mum!

Anyway Happy International Women’s Day and I hope you enjoy the stories!

On a Tour of Duty in the Persian Gulf, Lieutenant Steph Connisbee is signed on as the pilot on a top secret mission- Operation: Solomon. During this assignment she will uncover secrets and danger and step into the world of Unseen Shadows before she even knows it…

A teacher at an exclusive school for the children of United Nations delegates is found brutally tortured and murdered. The Tactical, Operational Response and Control Headquarters (TORCH) sends in one of their best agents, Kathryn Monroe, to investigate.

Kathryn must use all her skills as an investigator as she puts herself in the firing line to uncover the murderer… and their dark secret.

The Chimera Factor: Meet the T.O.R.C.H Team Sketches

Work on The Chimera Factor graphic novel continues a pace. Here’s some character sketches of Steph and her team from artist Pete Woods.  This is quite exciting for me as this story is set in between the Fallen Heroes and Forgotten Warriors novel (yes I am still writing the second novel) so several of the character will be popping up in Forgotten Warriors.

More updates soon but for now enjoy the images.

The Heart Which Makes Us Launches on Comixology

theheartwhichmakesus_banner

So over the last few weeks we’ve been launching digital versions of the Unseen Shadows comics on Comixology. Well today sees our last launch for a little while and it’s a biggie.

The Heart Which Makes Us is our first full blown graphic novel which features the fantastic talents of Lizzie Boyle, Aaron Moran and Paul Mclaren. to put my salesman hat for a moment I’m calling this thriller Sherlock meets Prime Suspect by way of Broadchurch.

Investigator Kathryn Monroe starts a new job at major crimes agency TORCH. A suspect is interviewed in a child abduction case. A series of terror attacks strike London. Kathryn follows the trail…

I’m a sucker for CSI. And Thomas Harris novels. And Sherlock Holmes (any rendering). If there’s a problem that can be solved by science, deduction and reasoning, then bring it on. Kathryn Monroe is the queen of that stuff. – Lizzie Boyle

This standalone tale is a cracking tale of kidnapping, murder, greed and obsession. So check it out over on Comixology and let us know what you think! You can also pick up a print version of the graphic novel here.

You can also check out Kathryn in the comic one short – Historia which is also on Comixology.
